Notes have special characteristics: they express their nature immediately and do not change over time. Notes, also called accords, are what master perfumers use when making prestige and designer fragrances, to create the familiar top, middle and bottom note dry-down that is associated with how the smell of prestige and designer fragrances change over time.
How to use the scent pyramid to blend your own scent.

- The top notes are the first impression of your fragrance
- The middle notes take form as your fragrance develops on your skin
- The bottom notes will accompany your fragrance in its final phases. Richer notes like wood and chocolate will leave the last memories of your signature scent on your skin
Try combining one from the TOP, MIDDLE and BOTTOM note sections on the LOF Blending Pyramid. Experiment with different fragrance combinations and proportions- Even the order that you apply the fragrances to the skin will affect the final fragrance. Try combining multiple fragrances from the same row. Try combining multiple fruits or multiple flowers. Spray each fragrance on separate paper strips.
